That I may know Him.

May 15th, 2012

It is important that we know Jesus, and we can learn a lot from Apostle Paul, who said, follow me, as I follow Jesus. And by his life, Paul teaches us an important spiritual principle which is a rule of action, in living our Christian lives.

Some Christians look to Jesus for help in their Christian lives some struggle in their lives, with a weakness towards sin in their Christian lives but never reach the place to have the power to overcome it, even when they seek it with prayer. There always asking Jesus for help in their human weakness and asking others to pray for them for the weakness that they have, I believe that they are sincere and love Jesus.

Now that is ok, if that is where you are in your spiritual growth, that’s fine if you see Jesus only as your helper.

But I believe He wants a closer relationship with you and I. He wants us to know Him. And Paul by his life gives us a spiritual principle, which is a rule of action in knowing Jesus.

Paul said: (—- For I know whom I have believed and persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day. 2Timothy.1:12. Paul committed his life to Jesus and believed that He would keep it.

Now Paul didn’t ask God for help, for his weakness, when he had to surrender to Jesus, which was a daily practice for him, he was looking unto Jesus as his keeper.

Paul took pleasure in his weakness, he even boasted in his infirmities. 2Corinthians.12:9-10. In knowing Jesus, he knew how to tap into the power source for his new spiritual life; he knew how to draw on the power of Jesus that rested on his life, that power was GRACE for when he was weak, he was also strong. Why? Because he believed Jesus was able to keep him.

When we surrender our lives to Jesus, He owns us, He paid the price for us, we belong to Him, we are not our own anymore. I am His. Therefore He becomes our keeper. The keeper of our new spiritual life.

This new life we have is a life of faith, and Grace flows from faith so we trust that Jesus will keep us, in our many human weaknesses and human failures, this trust we have in Jesus is an act of Faith.

So we can learn from Paul the secret is not to ask the Lord to help us with our weakness, but to commit that weakness we have to Him, and He will keep us.

We don’t try and overcome our weakness, by self effort, we let it go, out of our own hands and into His hands.

When we stop trying and start trusting in Jesus, then grace will flow into our lives, because without Him we can do nothing.

If we really trust Him, with our weakness He is able to keep us.

I believe in Him, who saves those who trust in Him, from those who rise up against them, HE WILL KEEP ME, as the apple of His eye and hide me under the shadow of His wings. Psalm.17:7-8.

Lets manifest Jesus.

Those who Love Him

January 19th, 2012

Paul quotes from the Old Testament: Eye has not seen, or ear heard, or have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. 1Corinthians.2:9

God has prepared something for those who love Him, Spiritual things, for the Spiritual man, the inner man. That He would grant you, according to the riches of His Glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. Ephesians.3:16.

These things are not for the natural man, he cannot understand Spiritual things. Paul begins to unravel this great mystery.

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God, for what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him. Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1Corinthians.2:10-12.

We have received the Holy Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God and it is only those who love Him, who will go forward, in spiritual growth and receive more of Him.  As Jesus said: if you love me, and keep my commandments, I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, He is the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him, or knows Him, but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John.14:15-17 However, when the Spirit of truth, has come He will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak and tell you things to come. He will Glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and declare it to you. John.16:13-14

The Holy Spirit reveals to us, what we have in Christ, and what we have to learn of Christ, He is our Helper to guide us and lead us to the fullness of Christ.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are Sons of God. Romans.8:14. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that is how He leads us; He takes us from truth to truth, here a little, there a little revealing to us what we have In Christ, and what we have to learn of Christ. “ whom will He teach knowledge, and whom will he make to understand the message, those just weaned from milk, those just drawn from the breast, for precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little. Isaiah.28:9-10.

He leads by revealing truth to us, and we follow Him by faith, because we believe He is leading us to the fullness of Christ, from faith to faith.

For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written. The just will live by faith. Romans.1:17. As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him. Colossians.2:6 God’s word will not profit you, unless it is mixed with faith. Hebrews.4:2

If we don’t follow His leading, we will not grow; we will remain in the spiritual nursery, with all the other babes in Christ. You may or you may not have your salvation. 1Corinthians.3:15. But God has more than that; there are many things which god has prepared for those who love Him.

I don’t believe that God is going to force a Christian to grow, if he wants to stay in the nursery, that’s his choice. The Holy Spirit is not a dictator, He is our helper, our guide, our teacher, He never usurps the will or the personality of the believer, He never compels the believer to do anything against the believers own will or choice. In Christ we are free, and have a life in the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, we also submit to the Spirits Lordship in our lives, and these two operations of the Holy Spirit can never be separated.

God has placed us in Christ, what is His is also ours. In Him we have everything we need to be conformed into His image if we are willing to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us.

Therefore let no one boast in men, for all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollo’s Cephas, or the world or life or death, or all things present, or things to come_ all are yours. And you are Christ’s and Christ is God’s.  1Corinthians.3:21-23.

How I handle temptations

January 4th, 2012

As Christians we have a spiritual enemy, who is tempting us day and night, sometimes without ceasing presenting evil and wicked thoughts to our minds, and if we enter into the battle with him resisting with thoughts of No No from the willpower of our old man, we will not have many victories, but many failures.

The call of the word for us is in 1Peter 5:8-9.

Be sober; be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

I believe the best advice for us in this scripture is.

Resist him steadfast in the faith.

Don’t let the enemy draw you out of your position of faith, where God has placed you, our faith is the answer to the enemy.

As Ephesians.6:16 tell us.

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

As the word says in James.1:2-3, when we fall into various trials, it is the testing of your faith.

How do I handle temptations? I answer them with my faith. Faith is believing what God says in His word, and acting upon what He says.

The word says, for the love of Christ compels us, because we judge this, that if One died for all, then all died. 2Corinthians.5:14.

We died with Christ, when He died.

The position of the Christian is ‘ Crucified with Christ’ by faith we stay in that position, and there is a warning for us in verse 15 ‘ and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves—-‘

If we fail to put off the old man, the self life and walk in the flesh, we will be easy prey for the roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. We are not to be trying to get victory in our self life; we already have our victory in Christ. 1Corinthians.15:57. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Where not looking forward each day to have victory in our lives, trying to make it happen by self effort. No by faith we are looking back and God’s word tells us it has already happened. We know it, we know it.

Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Romans.6:6.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. Romans.6:8

Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans.6:11. We have to stand on that truth, and reckon it is true. Does it work? Yes as long as you reckon by faith, our walk is a faith walk.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2Corinthians.5:7

James.4:7 say therefore submit to God, by faith we first submit to God, and we are acting out what we believe, we resist the devil with our faith and he will flee from you.

How can it be.?

August 18th, 2011

I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians.1:3

And God has raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Ephesians.2:6

I have been predestined, called, justified, and these He has also Glorified. Romans.8:30

From God’s perspective, I’m glorified, because God says so.

God said it; I believe it that settles it. Because God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good. Numbers.23:19

We have to remember that God is not in time, He is eternal. He calls the generations from the beginning, I the Lord, am the first and with the last. I am He. Isaiah.41:4. And calls those things which do not exist as though they did. Romans.4:14

My faith is in His faithfulness. As He has said in His word He will do. In His time He will make it good in my life, until then He sees me Glorified.

Now in these heavenly, spiritual matters, I stand with others who also believe that we have to have faith in His faithfulness.

I stand with Mary and many others and ask the same questions.

How can this be? Luke.1:34

How can this be? I don’t fully understand all these heavenly things; I don’t have all these spiritual truths in my experience, so how can it be?

But as I stand in God’s promises, I agree with Mary. “—let it be to me according to your word—“Luke.1:38.

We can learn from others, who have gone before us, we have Sara as an example, because she Judged Him faithful who had promised. Hebrews.11:11.

She Judged Him faithful who had promised.

Thats how it works, our faith has to be in the faithfulness of God, not our own level of understanding or experiences or our own circumstances in life, which can and will raise doubts in our minds about the promises of God.

To let it be to me, according to God’s word, I have to respond to His promise’s for my life, and say yes to it, by believing and acting upon what I believe.

Faith has to be my response to a promise of God.

“—but as God is faithful, our word to you was not yes and no—-for all the promises of God in Him are yes—“ 2Corinthians.1:18-20.

The word says that Abraham was strengthened in faith. Romans.4:20

How was he strengthened in faith? His faith was in Gods faithfulness, he had no doubts about the promise, he was fully convinced and assured that what God had promised, He was also able to perform. Romans.4:21.

But this was just not written for his sake alone, but also for us.

Let’s manifest Jesus.

Walking towards our Inheritance

July 17th, 2011

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. 2Corinthians.5:17

“In Him also we have obtained an Inheritance……..” Ephesians.1:11

“The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our Inheritance……..” Ephesians.1:13

Now these scriptures are true and there are many more.

We are to be giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the Saints in the light. Colossians. 1:12.

Now we have this inheritance, in Christ and God’s word teaches us that, but God’s word also teaches us that we have a part to play in receiving the inheritance. Now the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance, He is called the Spirit of Grace. Hebrews.10:29 He will not force Himself upon the believer, He will not over rule our own free choice, or our own will, He is our spiritual teacher, guide, and comforter, we cannot be led by the Spirit, unless our heart is willing to follow, if we do not yield to Him we cannot receive from Him. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Lord is, there is liberty. 2Corinthians.3:17.

The word teaches us that we have to be walking towards our inheritance.

Our walk is a spiritual walk; we are to serve in newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.Romans.7:6 if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians.5:25

And that’s how it was for Jesus.

Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke.4:1 and was led by the Holy Spirit, into the wilderness, He had to walk through a time of testing in the wilderness, and He came out of the wilderness in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Luke.4:14 And He received His inheritance in verse 18 of Luke 4. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, to-day this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. Luke.4:21.

Jesus received His inheritance, to do the work of the last Adam; He conquered Satan, as an obedient man by the word and the Spirit and sets Himself to do the work, which God His Father has given to Him in this world, as a man by the power of the Holy Spirit. Later He will meet Satan at the Cross. Then it will be a finished work. It is finished.

Now it is our time to walk through a time of testing, first we have to come out of darkness, and walk in the Light. Why? Because we are children of the light and that is our walk. Ephesians.5:8.

As children How? Do we come to the Light?

But he, who does the Truth, comes to the Light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. John.3:21. Obedience to God’s word will bring you to the light.

“….man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke.4:4

We are to walk worthy of the calling. Ephesians.4:1 Walk in Love. Ephesians.5:2

That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews.6:12

Yes our Spiritual inheritance is waiting there for us, on our spiritual journey through life with the entire test’s we have to go through, and just like Jesus we are being led by the Spirit. Romans.8:14 the Holy Spirit is a person, it is His work to conform us into the image of Christ. Romans.8:13 we have to be careful that we don’t quench the Spirit, that we don’t grieve the Holy Spirit, that we don’t resist the Holy Spirits workings in our lives. Jesus said, many times. Follow me, follow me, when we make His life the law of our life we will be following Jesus and He is leading us to Glory.

Why baptism is so important.

March 20th, 2011

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if one died for all, then all died. 2Corinthians.5:14

When Jesus died on the cross, our death was included in His death, that we would not live any longer for ourselves, but for Him.

And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 2Corinthians. 5:15

God wants us through baptism to enter into death with Christ, so we can walk in newness of life. Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans.6:14

Our baptism is where we come to the end of our own self life, the old man, and no longer to live out from our own self life. That is why Jesus said, if anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. Luke9:23.

If we don’t practice self-denial in our lives, then we don’t believe we died. Jesus said if you love me, you will keep my words.

And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. Luke.14:27 there very strong words, you cannot be His disciple. Your cross is whenever your will and God’s will cross when that happens in our life, we have a choice to make, are we going to let go of our own self-will and do God’s will. We now have the power to choose. That’s what His death and resurrection teaches us, He won the power for us to live and do the will of God, just as He had done. He came to show us the way. For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law but under Grace. Romans.6:14

Because we receive this abundance of Grace, we will rule in life through the Righteousness of Christ. Romans.5:21.

Jesus is our example, we have to follow Him, and His life has to become the law of our life. Jesus was baptized. But Jesus answered and said to him “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness. Matthew.3:15.

Jesus had a self life, and He was sinless, but from the time of His baptism and being led by the Spirit in His ministry, He did nothing out from Himself, He put His self life to the side, He lived not by His own will, but by God’s will. We have to look to Jesus as our example, for Jesus, the Father was His life, He had a life of faith and dependence on the Father, all His needs, and works were done by the Father. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. John.6:57.

Jesus would do nothing out from Himself. Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me.? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own authority: but the Father who dwells in me does the works. John.14:10

It was the Father dwelling in Christ that did the works. I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. John.5:30. What was required of Jesus in living His life, is also required of us, the life of Christ was the result of a living union with the Father.

If we want to manifest Christ life to others, it can only be from a close, abiding fellowship in union with Christ, feeding on Him, and believing that God has placed us in Christ in two positions. In His death and in His life, this is to be our living union with Christ, and you cannot have the one without the other. Does it work in our experience? Yes, as long as you stay in your position where God put you, from His viewpoint He sees Christ and His righteousness. Your old man nature, which you received from Adam, was judged at the cross; you’re not trying to die. You are dead. We begin a new life. This is progressive in our spiritual lives, it starts with our salvation, and salvation is not Gods end just the beginning.

Gods end is to have all His sons and daughters conformed into the image of His Son, and have rulership with His Son in His kingdom. This process we go through of putting off the old man, and putting on the new, is part of the process of the Holy Spirit conforming us into the image of Christ so we learn how to express more of Christ and less of ourselves, so He increases in our life and we decrease, so people can see more of Christ and less of us. And it all works by Faith, if we stay in our position that God put us, we are dead and alive to God through Christ, God said it and I believe it, and by faith I reckon it is so.

Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ. Romans.6:11 for you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians.3:3 now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.Romans.6:8.

Let’s manifest Jesus.

“For He himself has said”

November 17th, 2010

“——- I will never leave you, nor forsake you. Hebrews. 13:5 (new kings James)

Does that verse really express Gods love for us fully that He has taken hold of us. I don’t believe so. First it was in the great love of the Father, to give us His Son Jesus, and then it was out of love, that Jesus gave Himself for us, as the word teaches us. “Who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from every lawless deed, and purify for Himself, His own special people, zealous for good works? Titus. 2:14

If your human spirit has come into union with the Spirit of God, you are spiritually alive; you are one of His own special people. He owns you; He purchased you with His own blood, because He has paid the ultimate price. He is not going to let you slip away from Him.

We are in union with the love of Christ. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?? Romans.8:34-35

We are not on our own; we are in union with Him. We are One Spirit with the Lord.

“But he, who is joined to the Lord, is one Spirit with Him.” 1 Corinthians.6:17

We have been infused together by the love of our Spiritual Father. It is of God that we are “in Christ” “but of Him (God) you are in Christ Jesus——“ 1 Corinthians. 1:30

This is not something God is going to do, but something He has already done.

He is not going to let us go, there will be no slipping away from Jesus, because of our weakness, or slackness, or if we lose our way on our spiritual journey for a while. He loves us too much. He will come looking for you, even when you’re faithless; being faithless for a while cannot separate you from Christ. When we are, He remains faithful, He cannot deny Himself. 2 Timothy. 2:13 . We are His body.

I believe the Amplified bible really brings forth the meaning of the original Greek words that show us the heart of our God for His children, that nothing can snatch us out of His hands.

“—- For He, God Himself has said: I will not in any way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down, or relax my hold on you, assuredly not.” hebrews.13:5 (Amplified bible).

Praise Jesus: Jesus loves me, this I know because this word tells me so, His life will lead me everywhere I have to go, He will never let me go, and He has taken a good hold of me, this I know.

Learning from the Anointing

November 10th, 2010

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you, but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 1 John 2:27

This verse tells us, the anointing will teach us and also He abides in you, and you will abide in Him. For us to receive the teaching from the anointing we will have to abide in Him. We need a desire and deep reverence for His work in our lives, the Spirit is in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, and His pleasure is to be conforming us into the image of Christ, to help us become partakers of His life that we can have an inward making of the character of Christ. Where there is a continuing process of a building up of the inner man.

For this to happen, the Holy Spirit has to have the Lordship over our lives and this includes all areas of our lives, one area where He has to have Lordship is in how we learn, there are many who are always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The problem is we try and learn Gods truths and doctrines out from ourselves and we try and understand them, so we can teach others. This is how we divide the body of Christ, with all our different doctrines each claiming that they have Gods truth.

That is not anointed teaching according to the word of God. My understanding of the word of God is you have to do the word, and the Spirit gives you the understanding of it. We have to do the truth before you will understand it and have it in your experience.

Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach it. Ezra.7:10 for after he had did it; he had the understanding to teach it.

Remember the story in the gospel of john, when Jesus went up into the temple during the feast, and the Jews marvelled saying. “How does this man know letters, having never studied?” John 7:14-15. Jesus said. “If any man wills to do His will, he shall know.” John 7:17

When we surrender our will and in obedience do Gods will we will know the Fathers doctrines. The anointing will be teaching us. The anointing will give us the understanding.

What was required of Jesus in learning the Fathers doctrines is also required of us. He who says, he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1John 2:6.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him who sent me. John 6:38.

The word says. “Turn at my rebuke (if you obey) surely I will pour out My Spirit on you. I will make My words known to you. Proverbs. 1:23.

And we are His witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him. Acts 5:32

When we are seeking to learn Jesus and by obedience one turns to the Lord, and we put aside our self-life, the veil is taken away, and we can learn Jesus, and it’s in this revealing of Christ that we are being transformed into the same image. We cannot do that out from ourselves, it can only be done by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18

It pleased God by His Grace to reveal His Son in Paul, He also wants to reveal His Son in you and I and that can only be done by the Spirit of the Lord.

Lets Manifest Jesus.

Now all things are of God

November 5th, 2010

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. 2Corinthians. 5:17

Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 2Corinthians. 5:16

The new creation brings us into spiritual union with Christ, and as brothers and sisters in Christ, we have entered into a spiritual relationship with Him. We have been delivered from the power of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Colossians. 1:13

We have entered into a spiritual realm, in this realm Jesus is Lord. In this spiritual realm, it’s all about Christ, not about us, the flesh, the self life can do nothing in the spiritual realm as Jesus said, and it is the spirit who gives life, the flesh (our self life) profits nothing—. John.6:63.

If we have been born again, we have entered into the spiritual realm, your salvation is only the beginning of your spiritual life, and we have been called according to His purpose. His purpose is the same for all of us, to be conformed to the image of His son. Romans.8:29.

Now all things are of God—–. 2Corinthians. 5:18

Now if that is true and I believe it is so, there can be nothing out from us. There has to be a emptying of all self resource for us to have all things out from God. Self cannot overcome self, self profits nothing in the spiritual realm. Jesus said.”—–for without Me you can do nothing” John.15:5 He also said. “— you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” John.15:7

Jesus said, “That which is born of the flesh, is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.” John 3:6

We live in two realms at the same time, we live in the spirit, and we still have our self life, these two are not compatible with each other. One is going to rule the life, the flesh or the spirit, there will be fruits that will come forth from the life, and this will depend on who has Lordship over the life. We all want to hang onto our self dependent life, but God wants us to be dependent upon Him that is what faith is, dependence upon God. And without faith we cannot please God.

When we received Christ’s life that has put us in the position of ascendancy over the old man, in our fellowship with Christ we can govern, control, and have dominion over the old man. “For sin shall not have dominion over you—“Romans. 6:14. “therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body—-“Romans.6:12 Jesus said. “abide in Me and I in you—“ we cannot experience His life unless we stay in this union, abide in Me and I in you, it takes two who are in agreement to live this life, when we abide in Him, He will do His part, we have to do our part first before He moves. It is called faith.

But if we don’t fellowship with Jesus, feed upon Him, and seek inward knowledge of the Lord Himself, and make His risen life real in our experience we will lose our ascendancy over the old man. This spiritual life that we have received comes with a command. “If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.” Galatians.5:25 we are putting off the old man with his deeds. Colossians.3:9 and have put on the new man, who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him. Colossians.3:10.

Christ has to be the life of our spirit, the inner man, to have an increase of Christ, we will have to displace the self, the old man, our ability to govern the old man in the spiritual realm, will be to the measure of Christ within us. It will have to be none of self, and all of Christ, only Christ can deliver us from ourselves and take us into the experience of His life, and have the same experience that Paul had. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. Galatians. 2:20.

How do we experience that life, by faith? We trust and believe that Gods word is true. The word says. “But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” 1Corinthians.15:57. Victory is not something we have to get through self effort; it is something we already have when God placed us in Christ, when we were born again.

When you experience victory in your life you are proving that Gods word is true, if you don’t have victory in your life, Gods word is still true but your experience is wrong, that’s when we have to look at our lives and see where we are going wrong as partakers of Christ’s life.

We are not talking about your salvation you received that when you’re born again, we are talking about being conformed into the image of Christ, which takes place as we grow in the knowledge of Christ.

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 2Corinthians.2:14 think about that, God always leads us in triumph in Christ, but He cannot, if we don’t follow, if we don’t yield, if we don’t surrender, if we don’t deny the self, if we are not willing. I know it’s hard and difficult at times, and it is not easy, if it was easy we would not need God, but when we let go and take hold of Christ He will make it easier.

Lets Manifest Jesus.

We are to Glory in the cross. Why.

February 15th, 2010

We are to glory in the cross. Why? Why should we as Christian’s glory in the cross. Paul knew the importance of fellowship with the cross in his life.

He said, but God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians. 6:14

The cross has to be at the centre of the Christian life. It is the test of discipleship. As Jesus said. If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. Matthew.16:24

Everything is judged in the cross, our natural life from birth that we received from Adam, and what the scriptures call the old man, has been judged and brought to an end in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The cross brings forth the death of the old man, and brings forth the birth of the New man.

As the word teaches: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me—-“. Galatians.2:20

We are now joined to the Lord; we are one Spirit with Him. 1Corinthians.6:17 the crucified disciple and the crucified Christ belong to each other.

Knowing this that our old man was crucified with Him that the body of sin might be done away with that we should no longer be slaves of sin. Romans.6:6

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we should also live with Him. Romans.6:8

Through faith in Christ, we become disciples and partakers of Christ’s life. From Gods perspective it is a finished work that God has done in Christ for us. The power and the working of the cross has to continue in our lives, our position is to stay up on the cross.

The position of the Christian is “Crucified with Christ” by faith we stay in that position. God says “In Christ” you have died, we have to stand on that truth, and reckon it is true. Does it work? Yes as long as you reckon by faith. Our walk is a faith walk.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2Corinthians.5:7

Likewise you also reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans.6:11

As we keep the flesh which is the self life in the place of crucifixion, nailed to the cross, and by faith regard the cross with its continual working in our lives, of putting self to death we will remain in our position up on the cross.

We can glory in the cross, we can give the cross the first place in our lives, and if we do sin shall not have dominion over you. For you are not under law but under grace. Romans.6:14

We can glory in the cross, because by the Spirit you can put to death the deeds of the body, and you will live. Romans.8:13

If we glory in the cross you will walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians.5:16

If we glory in the cross, we can put to death, the members of our body on the earth. Colossians.3:5

We can glory in the cross, because we have been made partners in a finished work, the body of sin has been done away with, and we have our victory in Christ. We are not trying to get victory in our lives, we already have it. We are to thank God for it. Glory in the cross.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinthians.15:57

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians.6:14
